Or was it Beatrice?
Na, just kidding. It’s definitely Eugenie, the one who was upstaged at her wedding by pregnant Meghan in 2018 and not the one who had the COVID wedding last year in the Queen’s dress. But we digress. Princess Eugenie announced the birth on instagram (how mod) and used emojis and everything. It’s totally adorbs.
According to a statement from the palace ‘Genez and her hubby, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed the little fella this week and everyone is wrapt to the back teeth about it. “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news."
While it’s not of particular note that the Queen’s ninth great grandchild is as yet unnamed (the family usually wait for a dramatic reveal at the christening), Royal watchers (us? Lol?) are very eager to see if the little guy’s name will honour Eugenie’s father The Duke of York otherwise known as Andrew-The-Gross. That is also part of longstanding royal tradition but might be awks because … he’s part of an FBI investigation that involves the trafficking and assault of children. Ugh.
One thing is for sure however, Fergie Fergs will be bloody chuffed and has probably already busted out her best kids’ books for reading hour.
For the record, Harry and Meghan have congratulated the couple privately because they’re classy like that and definitely not attention seeking sell-outs (that was sarcasm because they definitely are attention seeking sell-outs).
